30/30 We did it!

Cant believe this is number 30. Yay you guys.  I feel accomplished and relieved! The other half of my closet and shoe collection will be so happy! They've felt incredibly lonely lately.  I'm going to go hug all the rest of my clothes....ahh..much better. And they feel loved again.

Going for a bit of the military look to round out the 30!  But of course had to be a bit of a lady so I added the skirt and the knee highs with--check it: hearts on them! Who said love and the army dont mix. What can I say I'm a bit of a hippy :)

(P.s the knee highs are actually tights I cut and rolled up...crafty eh?)

I feel a little like a 50's pin up postery on the last one. Am I giving myself way too much of a compliment? Perhaps but I love it. I felt adorable yet tough.  Which is a great way to end the weekend and the 30!

I have to say I can't believe it's over.  Had some tough times and a lot of days when I didnt post on the right day (sorry bout dat...life got in the way) But I had a lot of days where ya'lls comments got me through a rough day at work and what not so you CANNOT imagine how much I appreciate all that jazz.  I'm excited to have the rest of my closet to play with now..You guys don't even know what cute stuff I have in store for ya'll!

P.P.S Tiffany from A Reason to be Fabulous gave me an awesome shout out today so I'm returning the love.  She wrote an awesome "why I remix" when this whole shenanigan started 30 days ago and ended it today with a lovely recap of the whole thing.  Go check her out, cause she's awesome. And she know's color better than my color theory teacher in art school. AND sews some of her own clothes which still blows my mind. I'm sold. 

With that I leave you ladies.  Hope you had/have/are having an awesome 30....depending on where are you in the cycle. Taught me a lot which I'll recap tomorrow.  Plus I'll have to come up with some bangin' outfit to impress ya'll since I talked pretty big a few paragraphs up there.

So I dont know if it was dumb to include this dress in the 30, because you havent seen it yet and its the second to last outfit. But I love it and thought Id include it.  I feel like such a lady when I wear it.

28/30: Kickin ass

Hey guys sorry about the lack of posts.  Had a bit of karma bite me in the bootay again.  Someone broke into my car and stole a purse from the back seat, and my gps and ipod.  I was most upset about the bag, but luckily didnt have anything instead.  So this is my outfit for ass kicking if I ever see someone carrying my bag...their face is going to have a meet up with these combat boots. Just sayin'.

Except I wouldn't look so happy kicking yo butt. :)

27/30 Slouchy at it's best

Man you guys I'm exhausted this morning. Doesnt bode well that I have a double to work today and tomorrow. So here's to redbull ladies.  But besides redbull the things I'm loving this morning are my new nail polish from Aldo.  It's called circus elephants...kinda love it just for the name and my snake ring! Apparently I should just be an Aldo and or Forever 21 model for a living.  I sure do own enough of the clothes. Makes me a lil ill to think of all the forever 21 clothes I own.  One of these days when I get some time I'm going to go through my closet and donate and sell stuff I dont need because certainly I don't need them all.  Although after not ever looking at the rest of my closet besides my 30, I just don't know how much I'll be willing to give away! Do you guys have clothes that remind you of things? It's like music for me, you know when you hear a song and it takes you back.  I do that with clothes too.  Its kind of funny how that works and how your memory works....Sorry to get a lil philosophical on you guys. It's late at night and I've had a long day.

I'm working a double tomorrow so I'm going to try and make myself have an extra 5 min to take some shots because after a 12 hour day and no ambient light I know those pics won't be pretty. So hopefully I'll get some time in the morning.  I'm thinkin' slouchy again. Call me predictable but slouchy to me = combat boots so you might see those puppies tomorrow!

Oh you guys I'm getting so bad!! I've had an insane busy weekend and had the cutest outfits and I couldn't share them with you.   No don't worry I've still been following the 30 but I've just had zip time to take any pictures. I had some exciting work stuff happen on Friday that I'll share sometime later, I'd like to think the good news comes from my rockin Friday outfit.  These shorts I love but sometimes I get a lil self conscious about them being a lil too mom jean-y? Opinion? How do you make sure high waisted doesnt turn into mom jeans?  Well I thought the outfit was pretty cute. Hope you guys agree!

24/30: Time Flies

Well time really hasnt flown since my last post about 2 seconds ago. But I meant in this 30 for 30. When did it get to be 24 days into this month and into this challenge? Craaazy. Anyhow I wont keep you long, mostly because I have to get to work now but I thought I'd post this at least before I went.  I thought dress today since it's so warm out but black dress? Yikes. Hot outside.  I'm like a magnet to the sun with this blackness. So I thought I'd spring it up with a lil flowery belt and bird necklace.

22 &23/30: Ketchup

Hahah get it. This is me playing catch up. Ketchup. Catch up. Man.  I crack myself up. Anyway I know I'm soooo behind. Yikes so here's the last two days plus I'll post today's outfit later when I'm on my break at work. Here are two outfits, one I love and the other is meh. Care to take a guess? Yea I dig the scarfy jeggings-boot look.  It was a "cold front" here yesterday. In the 50's.  I know- groan...not cold floridians..but apparently people here thought it was so I went with it. Plus I refound this scarf and needed it in my life. So I'll breeze over the first outfit:

I don't know why I like the second outfit so much. I just really love it.   I feel like it fits my personality and mood most days. These boots and I were like soulmates, working at Aldo I just knew I needed these suckers in my life.  And while the rest seems plain and kinda blah, I love it.  The scarf adds a lil love and color.  Any outfits make you feel most like you? Or am I just bonkers...like the ketchup joke :)

21/30: Nothing says Lady like lace, pearls, & ripped denim

Happy Monday guys! Hope it goes swimmingly and quick!  Took me FOREVER this morning to pick out an outfit.  I hate when that happens, mostly because it means my room looks like my closet purged itself of all the no's.  I felt like one of those paper dolls this morning.  I decided on jeans and a white tee and a scarf..then wasn't feeling the white tee or scarf. So I was left with jeans.  But still wanted white. So I perused my 30 for 30 section of the closet for other white options. So I rolled with the lace and picked some pearls for a necklace.  The I just kept going and this is the result. Like?  I'm kinda diggin it which surprised me. Anyway good luck on this monday!

20/30 Blue Skies & Sunshine

Hey guys.  How was your weekends? Do anything fun? Besides my fantastic margaritas day I just worked and hung with my girls which was perfect and relaxing.  The sun is certainly out and the warmth has come back to florida.  Spring will be here for a few days and next thing we know it'll be 99 and humid. Yay.  I talk about the weather too much. Feel free to tell me to stop. Yesh. 


Sorry the second picture is kinda goofy.  I wanted to show my bangin' earrings.  They rock but oh man are they kinda painful.  They don't feel heavy till your earlobes are the ones holding them up. Opps. But I do love them and had a short day at work so I decided to go with the pain for a few hours.  I normally don't do big earrings but these I just love.

18/30 78 degrees?

It was in the 70's AND it was my day off.  That was perfection. Thank you weather gods and sorry to all you northerns if you still have snow. Been there. Done that. So (lamesies) my outfit post today is a hat and aviators because other than that I was wearing a bathing suit, which I will not be photographing myself in any time soon.  Need a lil gym trip first. Hey me again..remember me from the previous post...Oh about 2 min ago? Yea, that me. So I don't really know how I feel about Valentines day.  I suppose I wouldn't be over the moon about any holiday right now.  So this one may be no different, cept it's all about the love...when currently I am not about that at all. Well clearly I'm a liar when I said Id post again yesterday as to not get behind. And here I am..behind.  But  I'm working a double today and brought my laptop so on my break I could catch up. So now here I am...catching up. Where did the time go, I'm so good at that.

12/30: Ahh Yesterday

Forgot to post this yesterday. Whhooops. Tiring day for no good reason really.  I just worked and Saturdays are usually busy but for some reason I was just not into it.  So again I tried to be as comfy as possible at work. Enter Jeggings.  I was a jeggings skeptic at first until I found these bad boys at forever. I just love the pockets because they make them feel like real pants. Annnd I found another day to wear my boots thanks florida for letting me have just another day with my boots.  This week will be warming up. Yays and one warn coincides with my off day. Yes, maybe I'll score some pool time.

Which is less than likely.  I'm sure most people will be scrambling around today trying to find last minute valentines presents.  The jewelry store next door to us has had a line all week, and the rest of the stores looks like the puked pink and red.  I'm usually very cynical but for some reason (ha!) valentine's day brings it out of me.  So excuse any vday jabs. It's not you, it's me. 

It's been a perticularly hard past 6 months for me, and some how...it seems to be culminating right now. Awesome timing. So I've been feeling a low lately. Any tips? What do you do when you're not feeling your best? 

11/30: Helllloo Netflix

Ahh another day off! I have plans to do laundry, clean and like I said in yesterdays post I'm going to watch Netflix like it's my job. Which today it is :)  So today I'm feeling lazy and slouchy..much like yesterday. See a pattern?

10/30: Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

This outfit is slouchy and lovely, just how I feel. The weather makes me wanna not look cute and go to work, I would like to stay in sweats. So jeggings are the answer to wearing sweatpants to work.  And blogging world, I'd like you to meet my boots. Boots, Blogging world.  Now we're all introduced. When these boots arrived in our store everyone loved them and I thought cute.  I could never pull them off though. Well this is me pulling them off. Ha!  I would never imgaine me in combat boots but now I can't imagine life without them. Fabulous!

Awkward:
-This weather, one day I'm fah-reeezzzing and then next I'm in shorts and the next day it rains. Fl make up your mind.
-Having a customer ask if I was pregnant, considering I've recently lost weight...um No that would be my food baby, thanks for asking tho.
-Being proposed to while at work, by a stranger. Yeaa I'm good thanks.
-The word awkward...I'm not a fan and I always feel like I'm spelling it wrong.
-The picture where I'm trying to look tough, scratch that..the two pictures where I'm trying to kick ass in my combat boots when it looks like I couldn't hurt a fly.

Awesome:
-It almost being the weekend.
-Netflix: I'm a recent convert and I am loving it.  If I didn't have a job I would be lying in bed all day and never ever turn off netflix.
-Re watching old Grey's Anatomy episodes. I swear I could rewatch them like its my job. See previous statement.
-My kittens. I don't know if you all are cat people or dog people (I'm both) but my chunky lil kittens are just the bestest.
-The blogging community. You guys rock and I never realized how small and tight knit this community is.  It's pretty awesome, isn't it? Makes me smile.
